Memory can be a precious yet fragile asset. Studies have verified how the storage process can lead to the formation of false memories to “cover” the inevitable memory leakages, linked to an event, with images and actions that have never actually occurred. We, as human beings, need to reconnect our experiences in a single and coherent tale, at the expense of objective reality.
New memories are “printed” in our memory and integrated into pre-existing facts.
